Dedicated to the memory of Glenda Abbott
This site is a memorial to the life of Glenda Abbott, who passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Monday, November 14th following a short illness.
Glenda received excellent care from St Francis Hospice and the District Nurses, and was able to enjoy a view of her garden surrounded by family in her final days. She was a passionate supporter of the local arts community and of the theatre in particular.

Thoughts
We loved her memorable and superb performances, and enjoyed the plays she directed so well and professionally, but what we'll really miss is her beaming smile and hug every time we met her. She had the gift of making people feel special. Audrey and Herbert

Glenda made a huge contribution to the arts in Havering and nearby - whether in her thoughtful directing, her committed campaigning for the restoration of Fairkytes Arts Centre (it finally happened), or in so much else. She will be very sorely missed by everyone. Kind regards, Andrew Curtin.
